Infoblox DDI

When you configure Infoblox DDI to send log data to USM Anywhere, you can use the Infoblox DDI plugin to translate the raw log data into normalized events for analysis.

Integrating Infoblox

Before you configure the integration, you must have the IP Address of the USM AnywhereUSM Appliance Sensor.

To configure Infoblox DDI to send log data to USM Anywhere

  1. Log in to Infoblox Grid Manager using your credentials.
  2. Go to Grid > Grid Manager > Membersto access the plugin settings.
  3. Click the gear icon () to show available options for the selected grid member.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Select Monitoring and then click Override to enable customization of Syslog settings.
  6. Click the checkbox beside Log to External Syslog Servers to enable logging.
  7. Click the plus icon () next to External Log Servers to add a new remote Syslog server.
  8. Fill out the fields in the Add External Syslog Server window
    • Address — <your USM Anywhere IP address>
    • Transport — select either UDP or TCP according to your needs
    • Interface — select Any
    • Node ID — select LAN
    • Source — select Any
    • Severity — select Info
    • Port — enter 514 if you selected UDP, or 601 if you selected TCP
    • Logging Category — select Send All
  9. Click Add to confirm the changes.
  10. Click Save & Close when finished.
