Configuring a Static Asset Group

To configure a static asset group

  1. Navigate to ENVIRONMENT > ASSET GROUPS.
  2. Click the blue chevron icon () located next to the asset group name you want to configure and select Configure Asset Group.
  3. Modify the name of the asset groupAsset groups are administratively created objects that group similar assets for specific purposes. if you need to. This field is required.
  4. (Optional) Modify the description if you need to.
  5. You can add search criteria to the group. Click Apply Criteria if you want to add the searched criteria.
  6. You also can modify or delete assetsAn IP-addressable host, including but not limited to network devices, virtual servers, and physical servers. from the group by clicking Edit () or Delete ().
  7. Use the Delete button to delete the group.

    Use the Cancel button to discard the changes.

  8. Click Save.

Configuring a Dynamic Asset Group

To configure a dynamic asset group

  1. Navigate to ENVIRONMENT > ASSET GROUPS.
  2. Click the blue chevron icon () located next to the asset group name you want to configure and select Configure Asset Group.
  3. Modify the name of the asset group if you need to. This field is required.
  4. (Optional) Modify the description.
  5. Search the assets you want to add to the group and click Add Asset or Scan Network.
  6. If you click SCAN NETWORK, type the name of a network and the CIDRClassless Inter-Domain Routing, which provides a method for allocating IP addresses, routing Internet protocol packets, and subdividing networks. CIDR notation provides a syntax for specifying a range of IP addresses. block to specify the subnet's IP Address block that you want to scan.

  7. You can also delete assets from the group by clicking Delete (). You can view a specific asset by clicking View ().
  8. Use the Cancel button to discard the changes.

    Use the Delete button to delete the group.

  9. Click Save.
