Working with Assets and PCI DSS

The PCI DSS views in USM Anywhere have pre-defined filters based on the PCI DSS Asset Group. This section provides instructions on assigning assetsAn IP-addressable host, including but not limited to network devices, virtual servers, and physical servers. to the asset groupAsset groups are administratively created objects that group similar assets for specific purposes. in order to populate the views with data.

Note: USM Anywhere generates PCI reports from the assets assigned to the PCI DSS Asset Group. See USM Anywhere Compliance Templates for further information.

To assign Assets to the PCI DSS Asset Group

  1. Navigate to ENVIRONMENT > ASSETS.
  2. Select the asset(s) you want to include into the PCI DSS Asset Group. For assistance, see Selecting Assets in Asset List View.
  3. Click Actions > Set Compliance Scope.
  4. Select the PCI checkbox.

  6. Click Save.
  7. The selected assets will join the PCI DSS Asset Group.

To identify PCI Assets

  1. Navigate to ENVIRONMENT > ASSETS.
  2. Click the Configure Filters link, which is positioned at the lower-right area of the filters.
  3. Search for PCI Asset in the available filters.

  5. Click the Right Arrow icon () to select the filter.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. On the left panel, scroll to the bottom to find the section for the PCI Asset filter.
  8. Click Yes (n). The number in parentheses indicates the number of PCI Assets.
