Editing Users

There are a number of items that you can modify for the account of another user. If a user is unable to log in because they forgot their password or no longer have an authentication mobile device, you can perform a reset for their account.

Note: Only users having a role of Manager can edit users.

To reset a password account

  1. Go to SETTINGS > USERS.
  2. The Users List page displays the list of user accounts in USM Central.

  3. In the row for the user account, click the Edit icon ().
  4. Note: You are not allowed to change the Email address for the account.

  5. Change the Full Name for the account.
  6. Click Send Password Reset.
  7. The user will receive an email with a link that allows him to change the password.

    Note: The Enable Multi-Factor Authentication checkbox is active if you are editing your own user account. See Multi-Factor Authentication for more information.

  8. Click Save.

To edit your own settings

  1. Click the User icon () > My Settings.
  2. The My Settings popup window displays.

  3. Note: You are not allowed to change the Email address for the account.

  4. Change the Full Name for the account.
  5. Click Send Password Reset.
  6. The user will receive an email with a link that allows him to change the password.

  7. Select the Enable Multi-Factor Authentication checkbox if you want to add this authentication. See Multi-Factor Authentication for more information.
  8. Click Save.
